Teaching Experience: Alicia first began teaching voice in 2007, taking up residency at ‘Tom and Jerry’s Music School’ in Kyogal. What began as a good way to avoid working in Hospitality, teaching singing soon turned into a source of great joy and a driving passion in Alicia's life.  Since moving to Sydney in 2009, Alicia has taught privately at Allan’s Music in Alexandria, led two choirs (‘The Kiama Women’s Peace Choir’ and the ‘Vietnam Veteran’s Soul Choir’) and spent 2 years teaching Early Childhood Music at The International School of Music in Leichhardt. Education:Finishing High School with a mark of 96/100 for Music and a UAI of 98.2, Alicia won a Vice Chancellor's scholarship to study a bachelor of contemporary music, majoring in vocal studies, at Southern Cross University. Under the guidance of renowned vocal coach, Leigh Carriage, Alicia honed her vocal skills and musicianship exploring the genres of Blues, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Fusion, RnB, World Music and Pop. Alicia graduated in 2008 with a grade point average of 5.88. Alicia is also a self confessed ‘audio nerd’ and is currently studying Audio Engineering part time at the Australian Institute of Music with a Distinction average. Industry Experience:Armed with a stage piano and an insatiable love of singing, Alicia began song writing and performing solo at the age of 14, gigging in her home town of Kiama and all across the South Coast. During her studies at Southern Cross University, Alicia formed her first band. The high energy, rock act were State Champions in the Jim Beam Battle of the Bands in 2007 and finished second in the National Finals. Alicia’s personal musical focus is currently her solo project. She has recently performed with her band at The Landsdowne, The Newsagency and Midian. Alicia recently co-produced Alex Dean’s EP ‘No History’ at Def Wolf studios and is in the process of producing and recording her first EP with Dark Moon Productions.
